    Many OCD compulsions happen in the mind, making them harder to detect and easy to confuse with rumination or worry. This presentation will highlight common forms of mental compulsions, how to distinguish them from intrusive thoughts, and why recognizing them is essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

    Learning Objectives:

    Define mental compulsions in OCD and differentiate them from intrusive thoughts or generalized worry.

    Identify at least three clinical strategies for recognizing and addressing mental compulsions in therapy.
