  • It is recommended to start meeting on a weekly basis when possible. You will work with your counselor to determine appropriate treatment frequency based on your needs and goals for therapy.

  • This will vary from person to person, and your counselor will work with you to determine the amount of sessions you may need to reach your therapeutic goals.

    On average Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP) lasts between 15-25 sessions, however you may need a longer or shorter time than this to make progress and reach your goals.

  • OCD.xyz|The Online Counselor, PLLC is an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans, meaning we do not have direct agreements with insurance companies.

    Our fees are listed here, but if cost is a concern, please see the section below for details on how you may be able to use your insurance benefits for out-of-network providers.

  • Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits, meaning they may reimburse you for a percentage of your treatment costs, though you might need to meet a separate out-of-network deductible.

    You’ll pay the full session fee upfront, and we’ll provide a receipt (also known as a “superbill”) with all the necessary diagnostic and procedural codes. You can then submit this receipt to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

    There are also companies like Reimbursify that let you upload your receipt for reimbursement, though they charge a fee for the service.

  • Yes, please reach out to your insurance carrier to determine if you have “out-of-network” benefits and what coverage you have.

  • Yes, I provide Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) via telehealth counseling. ERP via telehealth has been demonstrated to be just as, if not more, effective in treating OCD due to the individual being able to have access to actual triggers in their environments.
