OCD Treatment in California (Telehealth)

Specialized OCD Treatment by a California-Licensed Counselor

Living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can be exhausting, confusing, and isolating—especially when symptoms don’t look the way people expect them to. Many individuals with OCD spend years feeling misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or stuck in cycles of reassurance-seeking and mental rituals that never seem to bring relief.

Effective OCD treatment begins with working with a provider who understands how OCD actually functions.

I’m a licensed and nationally certified counselor, licensed in California, and I provide specialized OCD treatment via telehealth to clients throughout the state. My clinical work focuses specifically on OCD and related presentations, including intrusive thoughts, mental compulsions, reassurance-seeking, avoidance, and uncertainty-driven patterns that often get mistaken for generalized anxiety.

Specialized OCD Treatment — Not General Anxiety Therapy

OCD is frequently misunderstood and can be unintentionally reinforced when treated with approaches that focus solely on symptom reduction, reassurance, or thought replacement. My approach emphasizes accurate recognition of OCD patterns and learning how to respond differently when those patterns show up.

I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) alongside other evidence-based strategies to help clients gradually reduce compulsive behaviors, increase tolerance of uncertainty, and build confidence in their ability to engage with life more fully. Treatment is collaborative, structured, and tailored to how OCD presents for you—whether your symptoms are more visible or primarily internal.

The goal is not to eliminate thoughts or achieve certainty, but to change your relationship with OCD so it no longer runs your decisions, attention, or daily life.

Telehealth OCD Therapy Across California

Because I offer therapy via secure telehealth, clients can access specialized OCD treatment anywhere in California—without the added stress of finding a local provider who may not have focused training in OCD. Telehealth allows flexibility while maintaining the same level of clinical structure, accountability, and support as in-person care.

Clients often appreciate being able to engage in treatment from their own environment, where OCD symptoms naturally occur and can be addressed more directly.

Who This Work Is For

I work with individuals who:

  • Suspect their symptoms may be OCD or want clarity around diagnosis

  • Feel stuck in cycles of reassurance, checking, mental reviewing, or avoidance

  • Have tried therapy before but didn’t see meaningful progress

  • Want structured, skill-based treatment that focuses on real-world change

If you’re looking for specialized OCD treatment in California and want an approach that prioritizes clarity, effectiveness, and forward movement, telehealth therapy may be a good fit.
