OCD.xyz Is Now an NBCC-Approved CE Provider
OCD.xyz is now a National Board for Certified Counselors Approved Continuing Education Provider (NBCC ACEP). While OCD.xyz has been an approved CE provider in Nevada, pursuing NBCC approval specifically is something I have wanted to do since graduate school — and I am thrilled to share that it is finally here.
This approval means that OCD.xyz trainings can offer NBCC CE credit, which many — though not all — licensing boards across the country recognize. If you are a counselor or therapist, it is worth checking with your specific board to confirm whether NBCC-approved hours count toward your renewal requirements.

What Is NBCC Approval?
The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) is one of the most widely recognized credentialing bodies in the mental health profession. For those who hold the NCC (National Certified Counselor) credential or other NBCC certifications, CE hours must meet certain standards to count toward renewal — and NBCC-approved courses are one of the most straightforward ways to ensure those hours qualify.
What makes this particularly meaningful is that many other licensing boards across the country recognize and accept NBCC-approved CE hours. This means that therapists and counselors who may not have otherwise had access to quality OCD training for clinicians can now use these hours toward their licensure requirements — regardless of where they practice in the U.S. The reach expands — and that's exactly the point.
Why NBCC Approval Matters for OCD Education
Getting this approval wasn't just a business decision. It was a deliberate act of advocacy.
OCD is one of the most misunderstood and misdiagnosed mental health conditions that exists. Clients routinely spend years — sometimes decades — seeing providers who aren't familiar with evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). When OCD-specific education is easier to access for CE credit, more therapists get trained — and more clients receive accurate, effective care. That ripple effect is advocacy in action.
My professional identity as a counselor is deeply tied to the NBCC. Pursuing this approval was about contributing to the profession I love in a way that aligns with who I am and what I believe the field deserves.
What This Means for Clinicians
If you are a licensed mental health professional looking for OCD-specific CE credits, OCD.xyz trainings now offer NBCC-approved hours. That means deep, specialized content — on OCD, differential diagnosis, ERP, and evidence-based treatment — that may count toward your licensure renewal. Because licensing boards vary, it is worth confirming with your specific board that NBCC-approved hours qualify for your credential before registering.
What This Means for Clients
If you are living with OCD — or supporting someone who is — this matters for you too. The more therapists who have access to quality OCD training, the more likely you are to find a provider who truly understands your experience and can offer treatment grounded in research.
Your care improves when clinician education improves.
A Personal Note
I have always loved teaching. Getting to genuinely nerd out about something I care deeply about and contribute to the field in this way is an honor and a privilege I don't take lightly.
Becoming an NBCC ACEP is a milestone, and it's a louder version of what OCD.xyz has been doing all along: providing accurate, evidence-based OCD education for clinicians and the people they serve.
